Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence has been described as a branch of computer science dealing with the simulation of intelligent behavior in computers. That being said, the two main categories of AI are GOFAI and Machine Learning, as explained below:
GOFAI (Good Old Fashion Artificial Intelligence)--an example could be a set of if-then statements that appear to mimic human reasoning.
Examples of GOFAI include:
-
A machine rewriting SQL (a database programming language) based on its observation that relevant database structures have changed (see Adaptive SQL for a tangible example).
-
A rules engine mimicking an accountant with knowledge of the tax code. Like an accountant it takes information you supply to it, runs the information through a set of static rules, and gives you the amount of taxes you owe as a result (Turbo Tax is a good example).
Machine Learning--Machine learning is typically described according to 2 categories: Supervised and Unsupervised. With Supervised Machine Learning, the computer learns by example from labeled data, whereas with Unsupervised Machine Learning, the computer groups similar data and pinpoints anomalies.
Deep learning Is a subcategory of Machine Learning. Deep Learning is normally distinguished by the fact that the number of "Hidden Layers" between output and input is greater than 3. The additional processing layers enable Deep Learning models to perform more complex tasks than typical Machine Learning models.
Generative AI Is also a subcategory of Machine Learning, with the distinction that it generates content (e.g. poems, pictures, scripts, etc.).
Examples of Machine Learning include: Predictive Analytics, Speech Recognition, Image Recognition, Medical Diagnosis, Classification, Bots, Content Generation, and more.
Our AI services are twofold: We work with companies to implement custom AI solutions that will make them more profitable, and we provide ready-made solutions having the same objective.
Our Artificial Intelligence software offerings include Adaptive SQL, which is a revolutionary database programming language that automatically adapts to database changes without having to rewrite and redeploy code; Web Application Builder, which will automatically develop a Single Page Application Website based on supplied evidences; and Smart Data Access, which connects to all repository types (structured and unstructured) and can enforce transactions across disparate repositories.
